Product economics calculator
You can see whether one unit adds up before you buy a batch. The calculator subtracts purchase, commission, delivery, ads and other costs from the price. A return is separate: the goods come back, and the only loss is the one you type. Fixed monthly costs become a number of those units.
What is added
Profit if the unit is kept: price − purchase − commission − delivery − ads − other.
Expected profit: the kept share times that profit, minus the return share times the return loss.
If expected profit is above zero, fixed costs are divided by it.
Before you trust the figure
- Commission comes from the cabinet.
- Delivery is per shipment.
- Put tax in “other” or in fixed costs. No rate is inserted for you.
- If damaged goods do not return to stock, add the purchase to the return loss.

A worked example, not a benchmark: purchase 3 000 ₸, price 9 000 ₸, commission 12%, delivery 800 ₸, ads 400 ₸, returns 5%, return loss 1 200 ₸. Commission is 1 080 ₸. Kept profit is 3 720 ₸. After returns, 3 474 ₸. This is not a Kaspi rate.
1
Two products
Run both through this calculator. Compare expected profit per unit and the minimum whole sales. A public top list does not do that.
2
Low price, high markup
Markup on purchase can be high while margin on price is thin if commission and delivery eat the ticket.
3
Returns
Take the share from the cabinet. If the goods do not come back to stock, add the purchase to the return loss.
4
Delivery and ads
These are costs of one sale. Zero ads is honest only when sales happen without them.
5
Minimum sales
This calculator turns fixed costs into units. Break-even turns a price and a variable cost per sale into sales that cover the month.
6
Category search
After the numbers, check whether people search for the category outside the marketplace.
Next step
- The category is named and the unit adds up — then a search snapshot for the product wording is useful.
What you learn
What we found
Margin comes from your costs.
Why it matters
Someone else’s average margin does not pay your delivery.
What to do
Type the numbers, then check demand.
Limit
Not the market
The calculator does not know whether anyone will pay the price.
Not a Kaspi export
There is no order or stock file.
Economics of one unit
Only the numbers you type are calculated. Take the commission from the marketplace cabinet: there is no Kaspi tariff here. This is not a sales study.
If you do not want to check this by hand, aVtonomus will show it in the analysis.
Common questions
Why is commission not filled in?
Categories differ. A filled-in rate would be invented.
How is this different from the idea calculator?
That one uses monthly costs and an average ticket. This one is a single unit, commission and returns.
